Burn the Calories!


A Stanford University study found that burning 2000 calories per week through
physical activity reduces the risk of many chronic diseases. Below is a list of
activities and approximate calories burned every 30 minutes, divided into weight
categories.

Adding exercise to help burn calories is beneficial to your health as well as your
waistline. Just make sure you don’t justify a scoop of ice cream after taking a
30-minute or your calorie burning efforts will have been in vain.

The next time you feel tempted to complain about doing the chores around the
house, remember that these activities burn calories and count as "exercise." That
should make the chores a bit more palatable.
