Restoring Lost Libido and Sex Drive After Menopause.

Loss of libido in women, a drop in sex drive, often goes hand-in-hand with other symptoms during and after menopause. Although a decreased sex drive can often be traced to menopause, it is generally the very treatable symptoms of menopause that contribute to the loss of libido in women.

Night sweats and hot flashes have a way of quickly putting the kibosh when things are heating up in the bedroom. Estrogen deficiency can cause vaginal dryness and thinned vaginal walls, which can cause soreness, burning and irritation during sex, which in turn affects sex drive. The psychological symptoms on menopause - the mood swings, depression and insomnia - also weigh negatively on the romance department. It’s no wonder women in menopause often experience loss of libido during and after menopause.

For women not ready to let their sex drive go to the wayside, this loss of libido can be very upsetting. It’s typically not very popular with the partners in their lives either. Ask hubby to tolerate your mood swings, your short temper and your crying jags and he may be very understanding. Ask him to go without sex on top of it all and the understanding might wear thin.

Hormone imbalance and deficiencies are at the root of many menopause symptoms including loss of libido during and after menopause. The good news is that the hormonal imbalances and deficiencies are easily remedied without resorting to unsafe hormone replacement therapy.

The new Return to Eden natural estrogen cream with progesterone is the perfect solution for women looking to respark their sex drive while eliminating menopause symptoms. The Return to Eden estrogen cream is a safe and effective way of addressing the symptoms of estrogen deficiency naturally.

Estrogen cream will normalize libido, stop hot flashes, help with sleep disorders, eliminate vaginal dryness and regulate mood. For women who need a small dose of estrogen with their progesterone cream, the Return to Eden estrogen cream works very well.

John R. Lee, M.D., an international authority and pioneer in the use of natural progesterone cream and natural hormone balance, endorsed natural estrogen in a medical letter written in 1998. Dr. R. Lee stated; "Estrogens has positive effects, and I do recommend it when it’s clearly needed. Women with measurable low estrogen tend to have higher cholesterol, low blood pressure, depression, thin hair on the head and hair on the lip, and poor memory. It does play a role in slowing bone loss, and as such can be useful for a few years around the time of menopause."

Dr. John R. Lee, in his book "What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Menopause," states; "If a three-month trial of progesterone plus proper diet and supplements do not relieve hot flashes or vaginal dryness, then a low-dose natural estrogen may be helpful...If you need to supplement some estrogen, you can use a natural estrogen in a cream."

Following Dr. John Lee’s suggestion, we recommend you first try progesterone cream before starting an estrogen cream regime.  If you are not currently using the Return to Eden natural hormone formulas, we highly encourage you to try this natural, highly healthy and effective method of bringing your hormones back into balance.

There is no reason why women cannot enjoy a satisfying sex drive and sex life during and after menopause. Many women even report a better sex drive and sex life with menopause. With the kids grown and out of the house, the fear of pregnancy (hopefully) removed and more time to enjoy life, romance and sex can be wonderful.

Do remember that late pregnancy can happen and does happen. Women over the age of 50 should use contraceptives for 12 months after their last period. That time frame bumps to two full years if under the age of 50.
