Alternative Sunburn Salves.

You went to the beach, slathered on SPF 30 and got home to find you forgot to cover your feet. Even the most sun-savvy people can get burned. Before
you search in the medicine chest for relief in a bottle, consider a more soothing alternative.

Cool milk compress: Soak a soft cloth or cotton gauze in cool whole milk and apply to the burned sites to east the pain and discomfort (the fat content
in the milk will help soothe and heal the burn).

Sool bath: Surround your skin in cool water to draw out the heat from your burn. For even more relief, add some baking soda or chamomille oil to the
water.

Tea: Brew a pot of very strong hot tea. Add ice and let cool completely. Using a sponge or small towel, rub the cooled tea over the affected area. The
tannins in the tea will ease your pain as well as reduce some of the redness.
